Hey guys! It’s Red! Maybe this is the last blog from me for the rest of the year…
I’ve always heard stories of how exciting Christmas is in America, so I decided to go this year! I’m going to leave Japan on Christmas Eve and see what it’s like in California for Christmas!
Apparently, almost all houses have tons of lights! Some houses, have lights and lasers that synchronize with music! Also, people give their family and friends lots of presents! It’s a very different experience than what we have here in Japan. I feel that in Japan, Christmas is often viewed as a couples’ holiday, but in America, its about spending time with family and friends, your loved ones.
While it may be exciting to see Christmas in America, I do have to return to Japan before the New Year begins! We have lots of things to do in for the New Year. Osechi, Hatsuhinode, Hatsumode… lots of great Japanese traditions to experience.
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful winter break, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
良いお年を!
