Hello! It’s everyone’s favourite colour that begins with the letter Y! Guess what? It’s finally autumn! I’m excited to see the beautiful autumn leaves and enjoy the refreshing weather. This summer was just too hot, wasn’t it? Actually, in July, my air conditioner was broken for about a week, so I had to survive in the 35°C weather without it… Luckily, it was fixed and I survived. Anyway, what are everyone’s favourite things to do during autumn? Recently, I’ve been enjoying the cool breeze in the evening while jogging along the river. Lately, the moon has also been very beautiful. 月がきれいですね!Hahaha… I’m so lonely. In some other cultures, there are many festivals related to the moon and autumn! For example, people in China celebrate the moon festival, where they gather with friends and family to gaze at the moon while enjoying snacks such as fruits, nuts, and mooncakes. Do you know about mooncakes? They’re a pastry often made with a sweet lotus root paste or red bean paste filling, sometimes with a salted egg yolk in the middle. They are very tasty. I want to eat one now. Maybe I’ll buy a bunch online and eat them all. By myself. What about in Japan? All I know is that McDonald’s sells a “Tsukimi burger,” but it usually doesn’t have enough sauce. Only 75% of the burger can be eaten with the sauce, while the remaining 25% is a dry slab of meat with dry bread. Oh my god.
