Participants: 14 first year students

oh1             For 2 days, August 25th and August 26th, Himeji Nishi High School held an open high school event, which allowed regional junior high schools students the chance to explore the school and interact with students of Himeji Nishi, as well as view the various clubs offered by the school.

Members of the schools SGH program were assigned to present “assigned studies” to the incoming junior high school students. There were 3 groups in total that presented: 2 groups on the first day and 1 group on the second day. These groups presented in the main hall to around 800 people. Group C2`s topic was “Agricultural Support Using Aquaponics” which was presented in English, Group A1`s topic was “Make Himeji Fun Using Segway”, and finally group B1`s topic was “Aim for a Worldwide Glory”. Each group presented magnificently and spoke very well. Each presentation was memorized and no scripts were used during the presentations.

Although it was most of the SGH members’ first time presenting in front of such a large audience, they did not lose their composure and were able to show how knowledgeable they were on their group`s presentation topics. The groups showed their knowledge through graphs and charts and explained different aspects of their topics.
