First Year Students
Where: Main Hall
Speaker: Mr. Yukiya Tanaka, Head of the Planning Department for the Overseas Division of GLORY Ltd.
Topic: “The Globalization of Business”
Participants: 55 first year students
The students listened to Mr. Tanaka’s lecture about the challenges of growing a business and his life in America. They students seemed to be very interested in his talk as GLORY is a local company, and they were able to hear about the company’s management strategies and overseas expansion.

Second Year Students:
Where: Computer Room
Participants: 51 second year students
Each group worked on their research project. At the beginning of the class, we talked a little about the steps involved in doing a research project such as “How to make a research question” and about “Hypothesizing”.
Progress of each group:
- Group A: We looked back at our field work. We are going to make a plan for our final presentation.
- Group B1: We wrote about the advantages of having a Nishimatsuya shop in Shanghai and talked about future plans.
- Group B2: We looked at new products featured on GLORY’s homepage.
