Our school will host an empowerment program from August 8th to 12th as part of the Super Global High Program. This program will allow students to improve their English communication abilities and learn about different cultures through discussions with students from overseas and presentations. During the meeting, Mr. Morikawa from ISA, gave some information about the program to students and their parents. He explained that because of globalization we will be required to be able to negotiate with people from other countries in the future. He said that students change a lot during the program. He also talked about the effect the program has had at other schools and how we can learn to think by ourselves and communicate our own opinions logically during the program. He mentioned that if we accept a homestay student, we will have even more chances to talk and improve ourselves even more.
During the question and answer period, there were many questions, for example, “What do we have to prepare?” or “What kind of attitude should participating students have?”. Mr. Morikawa answered each question politely. The students who will participate in the program are really looking forward to it.
