Topic: “The Development of Global Human Resources in Japan and the World”

Today Mr. Tatsuo Kawashima, a professor at Osaka University’s Institute for Academic Initiatives, gave a lecture for us. The main theme was “What are global resources?”. He passionately talked about three points: the background of the development of global human resources, the present conditions of the globalization of higher education in Japan and how globalization affects youth. He studied abroad at the University of Chicago, so he also told about universities overseas. After the lecture, many students asked him a variety of questions. It was valuable time for the students many of whom hope to study abroad in the future.
