The corporate culture there was very free and allowed each employee to perform at their best. There were no fixed working hours and employees could choose whether to work in the office, or from home or a café. The students were attracted by HubSpot and many said, “I want to work in such a company.”
When we finished the company visit, we returned to our hotel. Then we spent 30 minutes preparing for our presentations. We gave our
presentations to 10 university students in Boston. Because it was our first time giving our presentation in front of English-speaking university students, everybody was very tense. But we were able to present well, without looking at our scripts too much. One university student said “You explained your analysis and solution very clearly so that even though it was a specialized problem, we were able to understand.” We were also praised by our trip leader. The good result was due to our hard work and trying our best.
The dinner party with the students afterwards was very lively. We listened to speeches by one of trip leaders and our program coordinator as part of the closing ceremony for our trip. Our coordinator and leaders had encouraged us every day and had given us a lot of advice since we had arrived in Boston, and we were touched by their efforts. We also received an American-style certificate to commemorate our trip.
Tomorrow morning at 3:00 am, we will go to the airport.
