【科学探究科 3年5組】The 12th Science Conference in Hyogo

The 12th Science Conference in Hyogo was held in the Kobe University Centennial Hall on Saturday, July 11th.  In the morning, Dr. Christopher Gomez, director of the International Maritime Research Centre (IMaRC), Kobe University, gave a keynote lecture, whose title was “Sustainable Coastal Cities in the face of Earthquakes and Climate Change.”  In the afternoon, each of the 34 groups from the 16 Super Science High Schools in Hyogo Prefecture, four groups from the “Research-Oriented On-site Training” (ROOT) Programs, and the Kobe Future Doctors Dojo (Kobe University) gave a poster presentation four times throughout the day.  From Ono Senior High School, six third-year Science Inquiry Course students participated.  One group of three students made a presentation under the title of “Basic Research on Nagae’s Extinction” and the other group of three students, “Does Infrared Emission Affect How Planarians Rest?”
