Speaker: Paul Yarabe from the JAAC (Japan-America Academic Center)
First, the vice-principal, Mr. Kimura, made a speech about the purpose of the study tour and how to prepare for it. After that, the project promoting manager, Mr. Yabuchi, talked about the following three points:
- The purpose of the study tour
- What the students will do in New York and Boston
- The presentations the students will make in America
Next, Mr. Yarabe talked about the purpose of the FGLP (Future Global Leaders Program) and the itinerary for the program. He also answered many questions. The students asked him about the climate in March, electricity, how to communicate, public peace and security, clothes, tips and more. He answered each question carefully. Then Mr. Ogasahara, who had helped support the students who went on the trip last year, talked about last year’s trip and showed the students some photos and videos from it.
There are only two weeks left until the trip. The students are very serious. After the workshop finished, it seemed like the students felt relieved and were less anxious about the trip.
