First Year Students

Participants: 52 first year students

Today was the first SGH class for the new year. Group A and Group D2 went on a field trip to meet with Ms. Miyazaki from the Ciyt Promotions Department for Himeji City and interview her. Other groups prepared for the upcoming presentations.
Progress of each group:
- Group A: We were able to get some good information from the meeting and we decided to review our plans based on it.
- Group B1: We translated our powerpoint into English.
- Group B2: We worked on translating our poster and powerpoint into English.
- Group C1: We completed our poster for “The 8th Hyogo Science Fair”. Next time we want to practice our presentation.
- Group C2: We completed our presentation and we’ll practice it next time.
- Group C3: We completed our poster for the SGH presentation day in February.
- Group D1: We completed our powerpoint and now we’re working on making our poster.
- Group D2: We had a meeting with Ms. Miyazaki. We’ll review the problems with our plan next time.
- Group D3: We’re still making our powerpoint about the present situation in Nishi-Nikaimachi and make some concrete plans for remodeling the town.
Second Year Students
Where: Main Hall
Participants: 47 second year students
Teaching Assistant: Professor Kazuhiro Nomura (Kobe University of Foreign Studies)
Today was the rehearsal for the SGH Research and Speech Presentation Exhibition that will be held on February 11th. Professor Nomura, who had previously talked to the students about how to make a good presentation, came to see the students practice and gave detailed advice to each group about how to improve their presentations.
